Here’s the operation carried out by OBDPROG MT401 which is the same as OBDSTAR X300M (OBDPROG is a branch of OBDSTAR). OBDSTAR 300M is better than MT401, it updates to the newest car models while OBDPROG MT401 for older car models. So what MT401 does, X300M surely will do.
Connect X300M to vehicle via OBDII socket
Turn on ignition, check the current mileage: 65241KM
Select by VEHICLES->Mileage Adjustment->Skoda->Skoda V31.47
Loading and authorizing
Identify instrument type, drop down menu and select Octavia->NEC+24C64 VDO-12->Mileage adjustment
Reading and backup data
OBDSTAR X300M will read current mileage. Press ENT button to confirm and continue.
X300M reads 65248 km which is a slightly different of km on dash, but it doesn’t matter.
Manually enter new odometer you desire to change
Odometer correction completed.
Check the new km: 88011 km.
